Wearables and AI to provide translational digital health solutions
Welcome! Smart Wearable Electronics and hEalth daTa (SWEET) Research Group at Lehigh University is dedicated to advancing human health through interdisciplinary approaches that integrate engineering, health and clinical knowledge. Focusing on health data, we design smart wearable devices for data acquisition and develop machine learning frameworks for data processing and modeling. Then, at the system level, we translate these innovations into wearable and AI-powered digital health solutions—aimed at supporting clinicians in decision-making and assisting aging individuals and patients with neurological disorders in the clinic and community.
About Us

Our Research
Our research spans the full spectrum of health data to deliver digital health solutions: data acquisition with wearable electronics and sensor system design, data interpretation through signal processing and multimodal analysis, data modeling via customized machine learning algorithms and frameworks, as well as end user engagement throughout the development process.

Our Group
Our cross-disciplinary research group consists of undergraduate and graduate students from Lehigh University—majoring in engineering and health—as well as physical therapists from Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in the Lehigh Valley.
